When somebody ask you to think about a tree, what kind of tree do you think of?

I think of a Pine Tree. 🌲

A Pine Tree is a type of Evergreen and looks the same year round because it does not shed it’s “leaves” or the pine needles during the winter.

A Christmas Tree is an Evergreen Tree, usually a Pine Tree.

I like the smell of the tree and also like to play with the pine cones 😀

I like to lay on my back and look up through the canopy of all the branches and gaze upward into the tree. I started doing this when I was a kid with Christmas Trees over the years. In a forest or in the “wild” you get the added bonus of the bed of fallen pine needles that provide cushion while you rest.

An interesting fact is that if you throw a branch of pine needles into a fire the smoke is pure white. It also smells amazing.

Trees play a huge role in our ecosystems and are home to many animals. I am becoming more appreciative of trees as I get older and understand more of how vital they are on our planet. I believe in the conservation of trees now and understand why some people devote time and money doing what they believe is necessary in order to preserve and protect trees (among other plants and wildlife).
