WHAT’S UP❓❕ 👋🏼
I LOVE YOU 💓
Howl you doing❓
I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰
I hope you have a GREAT DAY‼️ 😎
The sun shines light as you know but did you know it omits different types of light?
The light color spectrum includes blue and blue light can have an effect on you in different ways.
When it comes to sleep, our rest cycle (circadian rhythm) blue light is beneficial in the morning/day and to be avoided at night or before bed.
When you wake up in the morning the sunlight will let your body know it is time to do things. When the sun goes down so does the primary natural light and the blue light along with it.
Artificial light has been around for only a fraction of human’s time here on earth and other than fire (candle, torch, lantern etc) there weren’t many ways to light up the dark.
Our bodies through evolution became used to having only one duration of time a day where there was either light or darkness. From dawn until dusk there was light and no more natural light but the sun’s reflection bouncing off the moon until the next dawn.
Avoid tv, mobile devices, or any other electronic screens before going to bed so your body knows it is time to get ready for rest.
If you need a light at night, if possible use dim light and perhaps a light that shines red to mimic the setting sun.
Blue during the day (even when it is not sunny) is natural and red light or dimming the light after dark helps with maintaining a healthy sleep cycle (which is one of the most important things you can do! We recover and grow when we are resting) 🥰
Sleep Well 😴
