HUNGRY❓🌮🥗🍦

WHAT’S COOKIN’❕👋🏼

I LOVE YOU 💓

Howl you doing❓

I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰

Today I want to talk about MINDFUL EATING.

We eat food sometimes in a way that does not make sense. I think the work day (9am to 5pm) creates a timetable for our meals more than our stomach.

Eating in the morning soon after waking up makes sense because it gives us energy to start our day and our morning meal has the longest period of time since our last meal.

When we are hungry makes the most sense to eat. Sometimes we aren’t “hungry” when we eat but it is meal time so we eat anyway. This could be because there is more than one person to consider when preparing a meal and more convenient than preparing a meal for each person every time they are hungry.

A lot of things we do every day is because thats the way it has been done before we were here by our parents, grand parents and other previous generations. This may have made sense for them but does not necessarily mean it makes sense for us.

Just because our elders or culture does things a certain way it does not mean it is the way that we must do it.

Eat in a way that makes sense for you.

However you eat, be grateful for the meal and show your gratitude to whoever provides and or serves it to you.

If you are buying your own food be mindful from purchase to your empty plate. If you aren’t buying your own food try to contribute to the meal any way that you think is appropriate perhaps by assisting in cleaning up.

True hunger is something I hope you never experience because that means it’s been days since your last meal.

Most of the time if we think we are hungry it is because it is around the time we usually eat, are bored or actually thirsty not hungry.

If you are full before your meal is finished it is ok to save the rest for later instead of making yourself feel unwell.
