Today I want to share with you my experience watching the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris.

I have watched everything as a highlight and not in real time.

I would seek clips that featured a gold medal performance, olympic record and team USA athlete events.

My favorite so far were the Team USA Men’s Basketball games. I was able to watch some of the games spoiler free and it was like watching an accelerated version of the game (I often do this with any sports I watch).

I would rewatch the athletes perform certain acts that amazed me and to see the expressions on their faces when realizing they had won.

It is interesting seeing the various expressions and emotions displayed when somebody or the team was successful in achieving a multiyear goal that often took a lifetime of training.

I can see that in those moments the athletes are experiencing a present moment that took years to unpack and there aren’t many scenarios that have this type of climax.

I admire the discipline, commitment and effort required for an athlete to even reach the olympics let alone podium (medal).
