CROCODYLIA 🐊

FEBRUARY 26 2025

(OCTOBER 26 2024 MAKE UP)

GOOD MORNING TO THE SON AND THE SKY❕👋🏼

I LOVE YOU 💓

Howl you doing❓

I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰

Today for you I have a post about the ancient yet modern day semi-aquatic creatures known as Alligators, Crocodiles and Caimans.

I knew about alligators and crocodiles early in my youth but only became aware of caimans as an adult.

All three thrive in the water however crocodiles are the only type that thrive in ocean water and brackish water (fresh water and salt water mix).

They are all cold blooded requiring an external heat source to regulate their body temperature unlike us being warm blooded having the ability to not rely on external heat by creating heat within.

They each have similar diets, hunting methods and utilize the rolling of their body while latching on with their “mouth” to assist eating.

Each are all good moms taking care of the eggs they lay and protecting from egg to hatchling and sometimes beyond once the young have capable of defending themselves.

Alligators have the strongest bite, crocodiles are the biggest (length and weight) and caimans are the smallest.

They are found in the wild throughout the world as in order (Crocodylia) except in Europe.

A crocodile can weigh up to 2,200 pounds and reach up to 20 feet in length❕

Here are some images of each 3 below:
