Today, for you, I have a post about bills.

Paying bills on time is important and I wish I started paying bills in a responsible and smart way earlier in life.

There is no reason for me to have any debt unless I mismanage my finances.

The past couple years I have been doing a great job compared to earlier in life but I can still do better. However I am paying all my obligations on time and/or early and even saving money each month.

Although you do not have any bills currently it is a good idea to start saving money for the future. Not just to buy something but to form what will later be your savings that will transform into your retirement fund.

I wouldn’t suggest committing a specific number but imagine if you saved 10% each month for 50 years.

If you saved even $10 a month it would be without interest $6000 after 50 years. Imagine if it was $100 a month. That would be $60000. If you were putting that money into an account that built with interest at 4 percent a year you would have around $200000❕That is an additional $140000 just by not touching what you saved and letting the interest do the heavy lifting. Even $10 a month with 4% annual interest would compound to around $20000.

Start saving as soon as you can so later in life you can let interest by your ally and not your enemy.
