Today, for you, I have a post about today’s holiday Easter.

I remember going for Easter egg hunts as a kid. It would be at different places each year but normally the families that were involved were the same.

The parents go and hide the eggs, the kids hunt for them and then we would all eat together if we haven’t already.

Some years we would also paint eggs, usually dye them various colors and not actually paint them by hand.

Some years the eggs contained candy, little egg sized toys and later in life also cash.

Some years the kids would also get Easter baskets that were filled with candy and often a chocolate bunny.

Most if not all of the things we would do were happening all across the country and was happening before our first hunt and still happening today.

A couple years we also went to a play that was about a story of Easter and this too is a common event experienced throughout the country and even in other countries.

The amount of sugar consumed on Easter is probably only second to Halloween.

My favorite thing about Easter is that it is one of the holidays that often brings families together often with a feast and smiles on faces, especially the kids.
