GOALS 🥅

(DECEMBER 12 2024 MAKE UP)

GOOD MORNING TO THE SON AND THE SKY❕👋🏼

I LOVE YOU 💓

Howl you doing❓

I hope everything is GREA T with you and at home 🥰

Today, for you, I have a post about goals.

I have many goals and I would put them in 4 categories.

  1. Daily Goals
  2. Short Term Goals
  3. Long Term Goals
  4. Open Ended Goals

I am going to speak to each goal and share with you a few of each type of goal.

Daily Goals are goals or tasks that I intend to do everyday. Sometimes goals can take time in order to achieve however some goals can be achieved upon waking up if for example a goal is to wake up at a specific time and you do this. Some daily goals feel like they take the least amount of work but some of these can also take the same discipline required to achieve a long term goal. I have a morning routine and on the days I honor the routine I more often than not establish a momentum that can be present throughout the day that is not available otherwise.

Short Term Goals can be any amount of time that mentally feels achievable without a commitment of an amount of time that makes the time required not being the most difficult aspect of the successfully completing the goal. An example of a short term goal would be to get a specific minimum grade or higher in a class over a semester of school. 16 weeks can seem like a long time but compared to 128 weeks it seems much more manageable having 16 weeks likely containing less unforseen challenges emerging than 128 weeks.

Long Term Goals are the type of goals that the time required in order to achieve the goal mentally feels like the most difficult aspect of successfully completing the goal. An example of a long term goal would be an advanced degree achieved over many semesters that would include many short term goals being successfully achieved along the path to achieving the long term goal as well as overcoming unforeseen challenges that may have emerged over a “long” period of time.

Open ended goals are goals that intend to be life long or at least as long as I am able to continue working on that goal with no specific completion of the goal in mind but the success of achieving the goal comes in the form of the ongoing applied effort towards that goal. There may be periods of time that there is little to no effort being applied towards this goal but with the intent to return to this goal and when returning to the goal you are picking up where you left off when it comes to the continuation of effort being present in life towards this goal. An example of an open ended goal is the continued education after achieving an advanced degree for the reason being a desire to further understand the subject matter that the degree represents. The long term goal achieved by completing the short term goals along the way to earn the advance degree being goals along the path of an open ended goal to further understand what the degree represents as a specific minimum understanding but requires no further understanding.

I am still figuring out what goals I want to include, come back to and maybe remove from my daily life as well as continue to apply effort towards the goals I am currently committed to. I am getting better day by day.

Do you have any goal that comes to mind?
