Today, for you, I have a post about getting up in the morning.

Waking up and getting up are two different things.

Sometimes when my alarm goes off in the morning I will hit “snooze” which triggers the alarm to go off again in 9 minutes. On days like this I woke up twice and got up once.

If the alarm was set for something important then even if I am tired I will get up because if I hit snooze I am putting unneeded pressure on myself to prepare with less time for something important.

I am good about getting to the place and time but working on removing the anxiety of arriving late by getting better with the planning of time management and following through with the plan.

I also think it is best to not have to “drag” myself out of bed because I did not plan ahead and or follow through with getting quality rest the night before.

In the future I will be saying get up instead of wake up when planning ahead to include the part that is important, getting up.
