I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰

Today, for you, I have a post about growth and competition.

If not already you will likely in one way or another participate in some form of friendly competition.

Whether winning is important to you or not hopefully you have fun.

The results of nearly every competition ultimately are never more important than enjoying the experience.

There is one competition that I consider the results as important as enjoying the experience and that is the competition with myself.

When I say competition with myself I am referring to my intention to work on myself in a way that the result is in the form of a reflection and comparison. Reflecting on who I was yesterday to ask myself in the present moment am I making progress in a meaningful way according to me? If the answer is yes then I am winning.

If the answer is no then what that tells me is I am being honest about my lack of effort that would be required to say yes.

I do not feel pressure to have something new to say every day that I am proud of but I do try every day to not do something that I would not be proud of.

You will find that it takes effort to “not do” things in a way that is not different than the effort it takes “to do” something and sometimes not doing something is a thing I am proud of.

I am committed to giving myself the opportunity to experience growth in my life in my own meaningful way.

Everyday I am competing with the me from yesterday.
