When did America (the United States of America) become America?

There was the “We the People” (The Declaration of Independence) which essentially said we belong to no one. Then those who claimed they belong to know one officially announced who they were with the Articles of Conferatin establishing those now free as the people of the United States of America.

Without more history of humans, here is some history of the planet (as with all historical facts other than our own it is important to keep in mind the history of another is only an alleged fact.
