Orangutang 🌴

APRIL 2026

GOOD MORNING TO THE SON AND THE SKY❕👋🏼

I LOVE YOU 💓

Howl you doing❓

I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰

Today for you I have a post about the Orangutang and some interesting facts I learned today about the “King of the Treetops”.

I wanted to learn about why an Orangutang’s face was shaped the way it.

Here is a photo for reference:

On the sides of the face you can see they have a “half moon” shape on both sides of the face. The combination of the shape of the skull and soft tissue create the shape and it has an interesting function potentially by design being a natural amplifier of the voice.

When a Orangutang sees a potential threat they are known to make a “kissing” sound that is not only loud but the shape of the face focuses the sound in a way that a face with a “V” shape like a human (the mouth is the further out front than the cheeks).

Orangutangs have been called “the King of Treetops” being among the Great Apes that spends the majority of their lives in the trees navigating from tree to tree and canopy to canopy (treetop).

Pretty cool right?

I LOVE YOU❕
