I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰
Today, for you, I have a post about my bike being stolen last night.
My bike was outside and I was in my apartment.
When I went down to grab my bike to put it away it was gone.
It is an opportunity to share with you an example of being mindful of your environment and doing what you can to be secure as well as your belongings.
Instead of leaving my bike outside I could have brought it inside and left it out for no period of time unsecured.
I do not have fear that the bike would be stolen but I know it is possible.
People are in my opinion not thieves but they can steal.
My bike was something that is ultimately not important but to me what is important is a reminder that things like this can happen when desperation exists amongst us as a society.
I will be able to get around still without a bike.
Whoever stole my bike is likely still desperate.
Be kind and when people let you down remember that person doesn’t represent all of us.

ANCESTRO /ANCÊTRE = “ANCESTOR” IN SPANISH 🇲🇽 / FRENCH 🇫🇷
I LOVE YOU 💓
Howl you doing❓
I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰
Today, for you, I have a post about animal “cousins”.
Below is the definition of ancestor:
An ancestor is a person from whom one is descended, typically someone more distant than a grandparent. Ancestors can include great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents, and so on, going back many generations.
It is believed that humans and apes have a common ancestral history. The various versions of the great apes including humans spawned from the same line you could trace back as a gorilla.
A cousin in family terms is related through a family connection and genetics and a cousin in animal terms is related in genetic terms only with enough DNA that is similar it suggest a historical common ground of origin.
If we as humans evolved from something that another animal also evolved from we could be called genetic cousins. The way human cousins might look similar, animal “cousins” can look so wildly different it is hard to believe ( and some don”t) they share a common ancestor.
Dogs were once wolves but wolves are not dogs. But dogs are cousins from wolf.
Our “wolf” as humans and other apes is an animal that would have lived millions of years ago that is now extinct but would likely have characteristics that would be similar to modern day humans and other descendent of this ancient animal.
This is a scientific based history of how we have evolved and we are still learning about origins as we progress our capabilities to uncover the past.

Today, for you, I have a post about the things we say, what we mean what we say and what it is that is said or heard.
If you saw a truck hauling crates filled with gallon jugs of milk and said “That’s a ton of gallons” and someone heard you say that and also noticed the same truck they would know what you meant. What was meant by what you said was a comment on the quantity of milk jugs observed. What was heard was understood with the observation had by another that in the context in which you made this comment the observation of the quantity of milk jugs was a number higher than you would typically observe when numerous milk jugs are present in a single observation. What was said was a statement that was in fact an opinion and the opinion shared included an adjective that also has a more common definition that means something specific in this case the word “ton” representing your relative opinion on what was thought to be a number large enough to make a distinction that what was observed was rare.
If what was said was heard without the context in which you said it and one was to imagine what you were commenting on what could be imagined is an unlimited number of scenarios that would include at least 2 milk jugs and up to a number of milk jugs that would be only as big as they had to be to be recognizable in rows stacked on one another with no space between the jugs that would fill the mind of the one creating a mental snapshot of what could be the largest imaginable amount of jugs as if it was something that could be seen inspired by the comment with no context.
Ton is a unit of measurement of weight and when ton is ever observed when used to communicate or document more often than not it is with it’s intended definition and not in the form of a descriptive word.
I like the idea that when we think about what we say that could mean what it means what we are saying but that includes not just the what, how and why it is that is said but also in addition to a speaker of language the what, how and why with respect to the language utilized to say what is said.

PELAJE / FOURRURE = “FUR” IN SPANISH 🇲🇽 / FRENCH 🇫🇷
I LOVE YOU 💓
Howl you doing❓
I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰
Today, for you, I have a post about the ethical treatment of our furry friends in nature.
Historically animal pelts (the fur and skin of an animal that has passed away) played a major role in our countries development as we know it today.
Previous to what is now called The United States of America the same land was home to many Native American tribes that have been highlighted previously right here on this blog.
Some of the people that found themself arriving to America previous to the land being recognized as America were explorers representing those seeking new land with various motivations from places like France, Spain, and England even though Native Americans were already established here but had no unified representation of all those who lived here or even a common language.
The land (modern day America) had an abundant wildlife population that once known by those with the ability to travel here to hunt animals for the fur became a desireable location for those that traded pelts as a form of currency like how we use the U.S. Dollar. (USD).
Animal fur was something that brought representatives from various nations to this land and was one of the reasons Native Americans begin to learn English in order to be able to trade for things not available in America at the time with the readily available furs that were used as a part of their life.
Although there were those that were not after the animal for its fur but it’s meat and would not waste the fur or even bones by making clothing and tools which were a part of survival, there were also some that hunted animals for the fur alone.
The fur trade played a role in nations trading with the native population of America however it also led to over hunting and fur specific hunting that does not honor the animal but is taking the life of an animal for a reason outside of an absolute necessity of survival.
The animals were not shown the respect they deserve by hunting them in a time that clothes were now manufactured in ways that did not require the utilization of fur and loss of life as opposed to early ancestors using fur for a lack of any other practical options with the technology and resources that were available at the time especially in cold climate regions.
The fur trade was now something that did not represent a symbol as an extension of survival but a symbol of economic value as if it were gold. This tipping point is where I believe the disrespect for animals began.
I support the ethical treatment of animals and fur is still present in fashion today but it is not likely the fur of an animal but a material crafted to look like fur often referred to as “faux fur or fake fur”.
It is rare that somebody would feel comfortable these days wearing fur in America with so many options available that would not require the death of an animal.
I am still evolving with my approach to animal products like meat and leather. I have not bought leather in years and I seek ethical farm raised meat when possible.
I am using the practice of fur trading as an example of the growth humans have had when it comes to how we interact with our furry friends here in America.
The idea that something that played a huge part of the establishment of our country as we know it today is now a practice that is no longer done for reasons that reflect our desire not to harm but protect wildlife and not treat animals as a resource shows a positive example of the growth had as people of this land and as fellow members of the animal kingdom.

VIDA DIARIA / VIE QUOTIDIENNE = “DAILY LIFE” IN SPANISH 🇲🇽 / FRENCH 🇫🇷
I LOVE YOU 💓
Howl you doing❓
I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰
Today, for you, I have a post about what types of math are most useful for your daily life.
We start math after learning about numbers.
Once we know what numbers represent we learn how to count.
Then we learn basic arithmetic which we use most often when adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
From here I would insert problem solving when the problem requires a mathematical solution. This is not math but the ability to know when and how to apply what math skills you have when the solution requires you to do so.
Algebra is in my opinion next but only as a concept. When there is a variable that is a part of your math problem (an unknown number that is required to know in order for you to find your solution) this is different then rearranging numbers in an equation that allows you to find that missing number using arithmetic (when its not the solution you seek but the part of the equation that would equal the “solution” you already have) like planning for a meal with a budget limit not knowing the prices where you are going out to eat to avoid ordering over your budget.
Algebra has formulas for different context but requires the memorization of these formulas. But when you do not have the formula, it is still possible to find the solution using your mind outside of math skills to solve the problem.
Before learning percentages, statistics or things like calculus and geometry I would suggest memorizing the 1 or 2 most likely formulas for specific context often experienced you would ever need to know if you wanted to solve a daily life math problem quickly without assistance.
Luckily beyond arithmetic it is rare we will ever need to quickly be able to calculate in our head something that would require more than the ability to be efficient with arithmetic.
MATH CAN BE FUN❕

Today, for you, I have a post about family time at the movies.
This afternoon I went to see a movie with your grandpa (my dad).
It was a marvel movie and of all the marvel movies released in the past 17 years I have seen all but 8 of the 36 movies released in theaters during that time at the theater.
The majority of the 28 movies I went to your grandpa was there too.
I have seen well over 50 (maybe 100) movies in the theater and the vast majority of those I was with family.
I remember being the most excited to watch Avengers Endgame than any other movie. You and I went on opening week and the first scene had a group of villains that scared you and you looked at me and said you were scared. We immediately got up and left.
Even though I really wanted to see the movie the moment you shared with me you were scared I did not hesitate to get you out of the theater.
Your concern will always be more important than my needs or wants.
I look forward to the day we can make more memories together at the cinema and for the one who I have yet to take to a movie we most certainly will have that experience hopefully sooner than later.

Today, for you, I have a post about my completion of the 2025 spring semester at school.
Today I took my final exam and that concluded the final requirement for my spanish class.
I had fun this semester learning the language of spanish.
I actually dropped this class three times previously for various reasons none of which were because I did not think I could do it. Today proved that.
Up next is the summer semester starting next month and I will be taking a psychology class which I dropped twice before for the same reasons as my spanish class.
It feels good to finish something I started years ago with my first spanish class now being completed on my fourth attempt. I will keep in mind this feeling when taking my class this summer.

Today, for you, I have a post about the bicycle.
I have shared several post on our blog about bikes including my own bike.
Today I am sharing some interesting facts about bikes.
Here are the facts below and then I will share my thoughts on some of them: 1. Bicycles Are Super Popular: There are more than 1 billion bicycles in the world—almost twice as many as cars! 2. The Fastest Bicycle: A special racing bike once went over 180 miles per hour—faster than a race car on a city street! 3. Bikes Help the Planet: Riding a bike doesn’t use gas, so it doesn’t pollute the air—it’s a great way to help the Earth. 4. Bicycles Can Glow: Some bikes have glow-in-the-dark tires, lights, or spokes that shine at night to keep riders safe and seen. 5. Bikes Come in All Shapes: There are tandem bikes (for two riders), unicycles (with just one wheel), and even four-wheeled pedal cars! 6. Pedal Power: Just 15 minutes of biking can make your heart stronger and your brain sharper—plus it’s fun! 7. Balancing Act: Learning to ride a bike helps kids build balance and coordination, kind of like being a ninja on wheels! 8. You Can Ride on Water: Some inventors have made floating bicycles that let you pedal across lakes and rivers like a boat! 9. Bikes Have Been to Space—Sort Of: Astronauts train on stationary bikes in space to keep their muscles strong when there’s no gravity. 10. Bicycles Make You Happy: Riding a bike releases “feel-good” chemicals in your brain called endorphins—so it actually helps your mood!
I thought the fact a woman was able to ride a bike over 180mph was pretty crazy. It took the assistance of several things but her bravery was hers alone.
The fact about feeling good after a bike ride is something I can say is true for me because I often feel more energetic when the bike ride is over than I did before the ride.
I still have your first bike which was a balance bike with no pedals. One day someone else will learn on that bike.
Eco-Friendly means friendly for the environment and bikes are considered to be one of the most eco-friendly modes of transportation. Just another great thing about bikes.
