The words have a theme and it is FAMILY

Grandma : Abuela
Grandpa : Abuelo
Cousin : Primo
Cat : Gato
Friend : Amigo
House : Casa
You may remember some of these words from previous post but this theme is one that is important and are words and people we speak about often. You can see that some of the words are similar to each other and that is because it applies to the masculine or feminine version of the word, HermanO or HermanA.

We eat when we are hungry and sometimes when we aren’t ๐ The only real reason to eat is for survival although there are many reasons why we might
The human body will survive only a short time without food (weeks/months) depending on the condition of the body and the conditions the body is experiencing
One thing to consider when you are eating is not just that it satisfies your hunger or survival but how it makes you feel and function
You can have some food that makes you have more or less energy and some food that helps or hinders your ability to use your brain
Here is a list of some food that can help with your brain function
1. Water
Your body is 70% water, your brain is 70% water and you want to be able to hydrate that. Your brain is only about 2% of your body mass but it requires 20% of the nutrients so keep that water up!
2. Avocados
Containing good, healthy fats, avocados increase a number of different feel-good chemicals in the brain. Avocados are also a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids that assist with brain function, mood regulation, and emotions.
3. Blueberries
Jim calls them brain berries!
Full of anthocyanins, blueberries provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects which help combat brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases and also supports improved communication between brain cells.
4. Broccoli
Your mum was right! Broccoli is good for your health and for your brain because it is high in antioxidants as well as Vitamin K so it helps protect the brain against damage and helps with better memory function.
5. Coconut Oil
The fatty acids in coconut oil are good for your brain and have even been linked to supporting people with Alzheimerโs Disease.
6. Eggs
There are a number of reasons why eggs are great for the brain, with essential fatty acids, Vitamins B6 and B12, folate and choline, which help to regulate mood, memory and cognitive function.
7. Green Leafy Vegetables
Containing large amounts of folate, green leafy vegetables and spinach, in particular, can help reduce symptoms of depression and are very neuroprotective.
8. Wild Salmon
The Omega-3 fatty acids in wild salmon (and sardines) are good for the brain. If youโre not getting enough of this essential fatty acid you may notice a cognitive decline, emotional imbalances and mood issues.
9. Turmeric
Turmeric, extremely good for the brain with great anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric helps to improve memory, ease depression and help new brain cells grow. Jim Kwik likes to make a golden tea with turmeric and pepper to help absorb the benefits. Some people like honey, some almond milk as a base.
10. Walnuts
Nuts, and in particular Walnuts improve cognition and memory and slow mental decline. Even if you notice, we look at a walnut, it looks like what? It looks like the human brain. Walnuts also contain Omega-3 fatty acids so thereโs double the reason to enjoy these nuts for brain health.
11. Dark Chocolate
Saving the best for last, eat dark chocolate for your brain (and your taste buds!). Dark chocolate boosts concentration, mood and actually improves blood flow to the brain. The darker the chocolate, the better!

Geometry is the branch of mathematics concerned with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces, solids, and higher dimensional analogs.

A square is a plane figure with four equal straight sides and four right angles
Here are some other ways to look at the same shape above
Paralelogram: a four-sided plane rectilinear figure with opposite sides parallel
Rectangle: a plane figure with four straight sides and four right angles, especially one with unequal adjacent sides, in contrast to a square
Quadrilateral: a four-sided figure
It is a single shape with many ways of lookingat it. In mathematics (MATH) everything needs to be consistent. There is a reason when one might refer to the shape of a square in other definitions however you may get a funny look if you were to discribe this shape outside of the context of math

If you had to pick your favorite meal between breakfast, lunch and dinner, which would you choose? ๐ค
It could be your favorite for different reasons. I could say Tacos or Steak. I could say Steak Tacos and I could also say Breakfast Steak Tacos ๐คค
My point is, what or when is not as important as WHY โ
I am a fan of Breakfast and it can be anytime of day. Why? You can find outside the kitchen the majority of the meals I like the most during the morning hours. Classic Eggs & Bacon, Steak and Eggs and of course, Breakfast Burritos ๐ฏ

Today I just wanted to give a special shout out to your Mothers. I have a profound appreciation for them for several reasons. The biggest reason however is that they gave me you two ๐งโ๐งโ๐งโ๐ง
I try to be a good dad and as much as I would have liked for all of us to be together at home it makes me feel good that you have two loving homes. The house of mama and the casa de papa (Dadโs house in Espaรฑol) ๐ ๐

Crying is perhaps something that one might associate with a negative experience. Of course negative reasons arenโt the only reason we cry. We have tears of joy, feeling love, laughter, our tears as a way of cleaning out our eyes and other biological reasons not attached to emotion.
Maybe because we cry when we are children more for things that are negative because we have yet to fully appreciate things that may cause us to cry in a happy way.
So early on in our lives we could think about crying as a negative instead of also a positive.
Later in life you will have experienced enough tears of all kinds to know that you always feel better after allowing yourself to let it all out for reasons that maybe positive or negative that brought on the urge.
There are also stereotypes on who or how often some should cry but the truth is we all cry and we can cry as often as we feel like it.
I have cried more tears of love and joy than anything else since I became a father. The tears I shed now are grateful tears and thanks to you they will always be on tap.
Never be ashamed of your tears. To hold tears back for any other reason than you want to is a shame.

I like to play chess everyday with the intent to get better in some way. I play against the computer at a higher difficulty than my skill level as well as live chess against people from around the world of a similar skill level.
It is a classic game, โthe game of Kingsโ some call it. This post is not a discription of how to play chess but to explain what it is.
For me it is a game that doesnโt cost money that helps me relax, stimulate my mind, improve on a skill, compete against others and have fun solving puzzles.

I like the idea of getting some fresh air and movement while also taking moments to be present while capturing photos and videos with a specific intent. This allows me to refresh and focus the mind by having a specific task at hand instead of whatever I was contemplating while out and about.

I wrote a short story for you. I hope you like it ๐
The Heart and the Shadow
There once was a child that would walk down a path everyday that went from the home to the back of the property.
One day the child was walking with the family dog down the path away from home and saw something on the path that was never there before. It was a small house.
This house was small and had a large heart on top of it.
As the child became closer to the little house the child began to hear beautiful piano music.
The child walked by the little house and the front door appeared to be open.
The dog broke its leash and ran into the little house.
The child carefully walked up to the door and called for the dog.
A woman greeted the child at the door and the child noticed the woman was a shadow.
“Is this your fury little friend?” the woman asked pointing to the dog. “Yes, sorry, the leash broke” replied the child. “No worries, I love dogs.”
The dog came outside passing the shadow woman as if it was normal to see a shadow person and the child fixed the leash and attached it to the dog.
The woman asks the child, “Do you know where I can find Sunflower seeds? If I grow a sunflower I can see myself again.”
The child thought about it and said “I will be back tomorrow if you are going to still be here”. The woman said that she would be there again and the child with fury friend on leash said goodbye and that they would be back tomorrow.
That night the child asked the mother of the home if they could get a ride to the plant store to buy some sunflower seeds. The mother agreed and took the child to the store and the child got the seeds.
The next day along the path the child with dog could see the little house was still there.
The child walked up to the front door and the woman opened the door before the child could knock. The child said “I have your seeds” and handed the seeds to the woman. The woman shed a tear that was visible and it fell to the ground.
“Thank you” said the woman. “I will be right back”. The woman came back with a glass of water and a small shovel to dig a hole. The woman dug the hole and placed a seed into the soil. The woman poured water onto the seed and it instantly grew into a beautiful sunflower.
Once the sunflower grew the woman slowly became visible once again.
The woman excused herself and went back into her house and returned smiling from ear to ear with a book. “Here, take this. I hope it brings you as much light as it did for me in my dark times”.
The child looked down and read the title of the book, “How to Play Piano”. The child told the woman to have a good night and the woman thanked the child and patted the dog on the head.
The child walked back towards home and thought how happy the woman was and it made the child happy. The child turned around to see the house only to find it was no longer there. The child looked at the dog and smirked.
