VICTORY = “победа” in RUSSIAN 🇷🇺 (pronounced pah-BYEH-dah).
I LOVE YOU 💓
Howl you doing❓
I hope everything is GREAT with you and at home 🥰
Today’s post is about what we do when celebrating a victory
Did you know that when a blind person celebrates victory they will often put their arms overhead without ever having witnessed anyone displaying a similar reaction?
It makes me think there are natural ways of showing the joy that comes along with a win
Of course there is smiling, physical contact with teammates if celebrating together (high five and or hugs) and joyous shouting too
In the moments immediately after victory is achieved there are a number of things that may take place but one thing I would like to encourage specifically is to say “Good Game” to those who were not victorious
It is a display of good sportsmanship and respect and a reminder to those who won or lost that it is not a sad thing to compete in a game and the loss doesn’t involve the loss of life and can soothe the sting of defeat
My point is this, celebrate your wins anyway you want and consider those who lost in a way that you may include the acknowledgement of their contribution to your win by representing the competition required to experience the victory and one way to do this is by saying “Good Game”

Today I have another post about a Holiday, “Dia de los Muertos” or commonly known as The Day of the Dead
Here are some facts about the holiday
It is a two day celebration (November 01 & 02) that originated in ancient Latin America
November 01 is to honor children who have passed (Day of the Innocents) known as Dia de los Angelitos
November 02 is to honor adults who have passed (Dia de los Muertos)
Families will leave offerings in their homes and at gravesites as tribute to their passed loved ones
A flower called Marigold is left with the tribute done traditionally as a way for the dead to locate the tribute offered
The holiday is seen as not as something sad but as a celebration of life and life lived
Food plays a special role with one item in particular a bread called “Pan de Muerto” that is offered as tribute and eaten by those celebrating the holiday
The holiday is celebrated worldwide and also by those who are not of Latin origin
Happy Holidays

There was a point in your life when you weren’t able to walk
One day you took your first step but you did not walk
After many more steps and tumbles there came a day when you walked
Then you could walk yet from time to time would still fall
Then one day you had the ability to walk without falling
Although you now had the ability to walk, it has been proven that it is possible to fall because of something that occurred
Maybe you fell because you were not paying attention and missed an obstacle or maybe something caused you to fall that had nothing to do with your ability to walk
As you get older you still might miss obstacles (mistakes) and you might get knocked down (uncontrollable external influence)
When you have the ability to walk you have a reminder of what is possible when you continue to try
Never give up
If you fall, rise and continue

Today I want to talk about getting things done and not meeting “deadlines” (The moment that was presented as a time and date to finish)
Sometimes we don’t get things done by the time we intended
Other times we can be comfortable going beyond a deadline for reasons that include things happened out of your control that caused you not to be able to meet the deadline or the thing that needed to be done with a deadline was not something that needed to occur
Sometimes we miss a deadline but it is still not too late and this is almost always the case when considering what is ultimately important
It may feel like a failure or be upsetting to not meet a deadline but unless it involves the loss of something you can not get back that is of the upmost importance, you will likely get over it sooner than later
There is also something to be said about anxiety caused when a deadline approaches and if it is up to you to get the task done before the last moment you can have the satisfaction of the task being completed and not needlessly suffer if you take care of the task when you are able to instead of having to
One last thing, make sure you do not agree to a deadline if possible that you aren’t sure you can meet. Try to give yourself the appropriate amount of time to complete the task without adding extra stress that doesn’t need to be present while executing the task through completion
Don’t needlessly suffer when possible
BUT DO NOT STRESS YOURSELF OUT!

Today I want have a post that spooks (speaks) to the upcoming holiday
I was always excited for halloween because the time of year has a good vibe between the weather and decorations around the city
Trick or Treating has evolved over the years and now families don’t just go door to door locally but now the option to go to a spot that might include a gathering of cars with trunks full of candy or business centers that offer candy the way you would find when knocking doors
Enjoy your treats but do not eat so much it makes you feel sick
I will share more about the origins of the holiday on an upcoming post but this post was to acknowledge the fun to be had with your costume and collection of candies
Stay warm and enjoy the event

Today’s post is about some interesting facts on Birds
There are many types of birds found around the world
Not all birds fly and the daily life for one bird can be nothing like another depending on the type of bird and the geographic region they inhabit
All birds require the same things in order to survive that other animals do like water, food and a way to protect themself but how they go about this can be unique
Owls are interesting birds and here are a couple of facts about the owl
-They have the ability to fly “silently” due to shape of their feathers (serrated edges)
-They can not move their eyes and must move their head in order to look in other directions
-They can see in almost total darkness
Penguins are a flightless bird and are commonly found in conditions that other birds would not be able to survive due to the frigid climate and lack of resources most birds require to survive
Here are some facts about the Penguin
-They can drink salt water by using a gland found near their eye that filters out the salt making the water drinkable
-They are excellent swimmers and can dive far below the ocean surface in some cases over a 1000 feet
-They walk very slow but can move quickly on land by laying on their belly and using their feet and flippers (“arms”) a technique known as “tobogganing”
Ostriches are the world’s tallest bird (Up to 9 feet tall) and have some unique characteristics that make them very interesting
Here are some facts about the Ostrich
– They can run up to 45 miles per hour and can sustain up to 30 miles per hour over a long distance
-They lay the largest eggs weighing up to 3 pounds and are the equivalent of 2 dozen chicken eggs
-They use their powerful legs to not only run extremely fast but to protect themself with their feet as weapons that have been known to defend itself successfully even from a lion
It is funny to think that the above birds are all the same “thing” that thing being a bird but look and behave in very different ways that they have a daily life that would include an experience totally different than that of the other
I will create another post about some other birds in the future that discuss birds that are very different from one another including the Raven, the Hummingbird and the Eagle
What is your favorite bird?
