What are your favorite kind of shoes? Slippers, flip flops, tennis shoes, boots, rain boots? all the different types of shoes and our feet appreciate it. It’s also important to strengthen your feet by walking barefoot sometimes when safe. Also be aware a lot of shoes aren’t healthy to be worn for long periods of time because of the toe box being cramped as well as introducing something to your foot that requires you to manipulate your gate to be able to resemble your natural tendency.

Comfy is good unless it weakens you.

For a few years now I have been a fan of going to Hot Yoga on Sunday evenings, especially classes that are Yin oriented. It’s something to look forward to and has sort of a reset initiation for the next 7 days as an anchor outside my mind body and home environment. I see my community and the world. For some reason if I don’t have plans or the weather is inhospital and I don’t find myself going outside, yoga classes regardless the time of year will get me out and about.

Sometimes we have plans. Sometimes those plans are important. If you are ever wondering if you should follow through the answer is yes. But if you would rather be doing something else because it feels more important, say yes to what feels right.

An example:

I had an appointment for the dr recently that I was considering not going to and before I made up my mind they called me and rescheduled. I then missed that appointment. Today I made it up and after my appointment I never once thought about how I didn’t make the previous two, one on them and one on me, instead I didn’t let it bother me either time. One was out of my hands and the other too late to change once I realized thus, out of my hands. When I made up my appointment today I practiced patience and forgiveness, accountability and responsibility, commitment and closure.

All of the above was meant to happen on one day yet the single task was spread across weeks and provided so many things to be grateful for that my expectation of what the day was and could be is humbled by what a single task could can bring with respect to expectations vs experience.

I don’t watch the news. From time to time I will check on my mobile device if I hear from somewhere about something I’m curious about but I prefer to avoid the narrative of the collective media. Although I do I hear from various media the corporate legacy media is compromised and not “News”. It is information strategically packaged and dispersed in order to further an agenda without considering the whole. When I say while I mean what would be best for us and our planet. I choose to surround myself with people, places and things that create my world and from that world I build my narrative. I then use that narrative to form my agenda which originates in my heart and mind and with daily experience the narrative is told by way of reflection. We don’t know the next chapter to our story. We don’t even know the next page. I do know that our book only contains so many pages. Unfortunately, (I say unfortunately but believe it may be critical) we do not know how many pages are in our book. Because if this, (time) each page is precious. Let’s not fill our pages with the words of others unless they are in quotes. Quotes of inspiration, loving and kind words, your own quotes, (don’t be afraid to capture your thoughts and if you want to remember something you came up, put it in quotes with your name on it regardless if you feel like somebody may have come up with it first. Even if similar in nature to another accredited quote if it is ran through your mind and is even slightly different write it as a quote and give a nod to the source). Most of the quotes will come from your own thoughts. From the third person point of view or as the observer. “Today was awesome” may be something you said out loud and in your story the page would show that statement in quotes. But all of the thoughts you had previously just before you made that statement that led you to come to the conclusion and share that the day was awesome would also be in quotes before the statement.

My current chapter in my book of life is at a high point. The current page would read,

Yesterday was one of the greatest days of Albert’s life. “Sounds good!” Albert replied to Stephenie on his mobile device. He thought, “Man this is awesome how I am about to FaceTime Major and just yesterday got to see Charley!” He then thought “this is one of if not the best 24 hours in my life.” Then Albert said, “this one of the best days of my life”. It truly was the best 24 hours of his life, he just hadn’t processed it yet.

I am wrapping up my catch up on our blog. Now I am going to watch the Detroit Lions play the Jacksonville Jaguars. I have been a fan of the NFL most of my life and I have only seen the Lions win 1 playoff game (I think). I seen Megatron and the end of Barry Sanders. Mathew Stafford before his trade. Maybe one day we will watch them win a super bowl? It could happen!
