I was checking out various gods of death and stumbled upon this gem. I mostly read non fiction but sometimes it is fun to research mythology.

Originally, Hecate was a goddess of fertility and childbirth. However, over time, she earned an association with the moon and the Underworld. She gained more recognition during Halloween time since she’s also the goddess of the witches. 

Hecate has strong connections to the spiritual world and ghosts. In Pagan traditions, she’s seen as the gatekeeper between the mortal and spiritual world. Though she’s not nurturing in a motherly way, she’s still seen as a protector for warriors, shepherds, and even children. Like the Furies, she’s not afraid to seek revenge on those who wrong the ones she loves most.

What is your favorite meal? I love bacon and steak but my favorite meal would have to be TACOS 🌮. A breakfast taco with steak eggs and chorizo with HOT sauce or a taco truck style classic taco. My taste have changed over the years but my love for tacos started early and has persisted.

How old are you when you are reading this? I am 38 as I type. Today in therapy I had the realization that I need to work on resentment. Sometimes I confuse anger for hurt and sometimes I experience them both in parallel. Anger is directed out word while hurt is something that we manifest to experience. We don’t have the ability to not experience emotion but we do have the ability to frame our own perspective. Anger can be healthy, hurt a necessary process of healing. Left uncheck, both can be torture. May you not needlessly suffer.
