Today for you I have a post about adapting in real time.

Today I went to the laundry mat with a full load of clothes in the washer just before I was about to start the washer the power went out in the building.

All the washers and dryers were off and the laundry mat was pretty full of people perhaps the most I have seen in that laundry mat when it happened.

Some people started to pack up their stuff to leave, others were willing to wait around to see if power would be restored.

I decided I would go to the store and buy a outfit for tomorrow and come back when hopefully the power has been restored (I will call and check first).

I decided yesterday to postpone laundry by one day because I actually did not need to do laundry until today although I was thinking about doing it yesterday.

Today I was wearing my only clean clothes while at the laundry mat when the power went out and it would be likely not until tomorrow (perhaps) with only a few hours left for the laundry mat to be open and still h ave time to wash and ry my clothes.

I ended up finding a good deal at the store for t-shirts at $4 each (nice).

I was not worried about not having clean clothes because I told myself that even if I do not get any more clothes than what I have that is dirty and currently wearing I was willing to wash an outfit by hand so that I would have clean clothes to sleep in (even though I would not have had any sheets).

There is comfort in a good plan, there is more comfort at good planning.
