Today for you I have a post about the concept of crabs in a bucket.

If you were to observe an actual bucket of live crabs you would see them attempting to crawl out and with a plastic bucket the crab has difficulty climbing out however even more difficult for the crab are the other crabs also attempting to crawl out using the crab as something to hold on to because it is easier than the slick surface of the bucket or it is the only thing to crab because of the amount of crabs trying to crawl out (the crab can’t grab the bucket but can grab another crab attempting to pull itself up while also pulling the other crab down).

This saying is about in my opinion the crabs not being able to formally organize. If the crabs pulling on other crabs were to let go, the first crab would make it out then one by one the crabs could all make it out.
