Today for you I have a post about math changing from what I grew up with into the “common core” math taught today in many schools.

It is interesting that the approach in public schools to teaching basic arithmetic has altered over the past two decades in a way that math is not more widely available than it once was (in fact I would argue it is actually less available with respect to the reliance on technology for mathematical outcomes) and the ability to receive complexed concepts initially that have already been “dumbed down” over millennia are not “stupid” enough for kids these days.
