1 year and 3 days apart is the time between the birth of your MOTHER’s with only 3 days in between the observation and celebration of these events.
I knew when I made a post about your MOTHER three days ago I would be making today’s post about the MOTHER of you that knows that today is your MOTHER’s birthday.
I will say for reasons that are the same with both of the women I call the mothers of my children I am forever deeply grateful of what they brought into my life and wish them the best.
I have a different history with both with respect to our shared experiences but most important of all shared or individual experiences is our introduction of you each being what made us forever a parent.
Today another human is one more day experienced in life and in that time circled the sun once again.

Today, for you, I have a post about tomorrows 2025 NFL SEASON
I started this post yesterday however I am finishing this post on kickoff day. In fact the Cowboys and current Super Bowl champion Eagles will be squaring off in a couple of hours.
As I have said previously I will be rooting for the Detroit Lions and I am excited for the season arrival.
I recently watched a documentary about the Dallas Cowboys during the time with their current owner. There was a lot of hype surrounding the documentary and I thought it lived up to the hype both as a sports documentary and a documentary about humans by way of how I observed it throughout.
The doc was a good example of how football can be more than a game.
Although football is just a game it requires players to be played. Those that play are in that moment wearing a uniform that shows what the player is participating in with a name that represents the entire life of that who wears that uniform.
During a game on the field there are game moments that are remembered as a moment in life with the game being an unnecessary detail.
You see humans trying as hard as they can the way it would look with anything they were doing that demonstrated their best effort in any moment.
You see humans working together in a way that it requires the collective effort with a common goal shared by each individual that is not individually possible but with each individual together possibke to achieve.
You see grown men jumping up and down while smiling ear to ear looking into the eyes of the other men that together were able to accomplish something that causes them to celebrate the way a child might when unwrapping the thing that they wanted more than anything they have ever wanted on Christmas day.
You see grown men sobbing with a look on their face that would surprise you if it could look any more sad.
You see humans watching the players with the type of emotion that would be present when they were experiencing the highest of high and lowest of low moments of their life.
If one were to have never heard of football and someone attempted to explain with only what may be observed using those in attendance, it is possible that of all the things being imagined by the listener that a game never crosses their mind.
Imagine being presented a photo that includes the happiest looking people ever photographed seemingly celebrating standing next to some who look as if they are having the worst moment in their lives. If you could hear the sound that was present when the moment this photo was captured coming from those very emotionally opposite faces collectively it would be a sound one could hear from a distance that could attract a curious ear and if that ear wanted to see the source of that sound a short journey towards the sound would find a structure with walls taller than any tree passed. An entrance still a few minutes walk is observed and now the ground is shaking beneath the curious ear’s feet. Upon entering the structure the sound multiplies in a wave that peaks at a level that leaves the “wow” spoken out loud by the traveler unheard.

Today, for you, I have a post about growth and competition.
If not already you will likely in one way or another participate in some form of friendly competition.
Whether winning is important to you or not hopefully you have fun.
The results of nearly every competition ultimately are never more important than enjoying the experience.
There is one competition that I consider the results as important as enjoying the experience and that is the competition with myself.
When I say competition with myself I am referring to my intention to work on myself in a way that the result is in the form of a reflection and comparison. Reflecting on who I was yesterday to ask myself in the present moment am I making progress in a meaningful way according to me? If the answer is yes then I am winning.
If the answer is no then what that tells me is I am being honest about my lack of effort that would be required to say yes.
I do not feel pressure to have something new to say every day that I am proud of but I do try every day to not do something that I would not be proud of.
You will find that it takes effort to “not do” things in a way that is not different than the effort it takes “to do” something and sometimes not doing something is a thing I am proud of.
I am committed to giving myself the opportunity to experience growth in my life in my own meaningful way.
Everyday I am competing with the me from yesterday.

I wonder when you will ever read this specific post considering you only have a few years experience with reading and I write these post at your big brother’s level.
I think it is important that you know that I wish your mother well and will always be forever grateful for what she herself brought into my life and what we did together that brought into existence one that increased my pride and joy and deepest purest LOVE while expanding my role as a FATHER.
I know that your MOTHER and I do not live with each other and for that I am sorry.

Today, for you, I have a post about my recap on my first full week in the fall semester at school.
Three of my five classes have yet to start and week one started on a Thursday so it was not a full week.
In my first full week I had Astronomy and Math and I am enjoying them both.
Last semester I took only two classes and these two classes so far this semester alone feel like a similar amount of course load or school work so I will need to make sure I keep things on track like they currently are.
I feel like it will be a fun challenge to do as well as last semester with maybe more than twice the work but because I have taken more and more classes each semester I am used to having to adapt to the course load in the beginning of the semester in addition to being able to apply some of the things I have learned in previous semesters that I can now utilize that will set me up for success.
I like to challenge myself when it is something I can grow from and in this case also increase my potential for the future.
I am using a graphing calculator in Math and this is the first time using one since high school.
I look forward to updating you when I have completed my first full week with all five classes.

Today, for you, I have a post about this holiday weekend we call Labor Day weekend.
For many in Michigan with Labor Day being a national holiday there is a “3 day weekend” starting today with Saturday, Sunday and Monday off from school and work.
It is common for Michiganders to go “up north” throughout the summer and Labor Day weekend is often the last chance to enjoy a vacation before it gets too cold.
The holiday “Labor Day” itself is on the first Monday of September each year to recognize the contributions of America’s workforce.
I will be using the extended weekend to take my time wrapping up my school obligations at a comfortable pace and perhaps a little overdue spring cleaning.

Today, for you, I have a post about saying pardon versus saying sorry.
An apology is given when we are sorry for something. Asking a pardon (or really saying “pardon me”) is more when it is possible it may be a slight inconvenience to someone but you do not need to apologize.
An example for asking pardon is you did not hear what someone said although you were listening. Maybe they were mumbling and you did not understand them and you could say “pardon me but can you please repeat that because I did not understand you”.
Another example and more common is when somebody is unintentionally standing in your way while you are moving towards something and you might say “pardon” while moving around them so you do not make physical contact with them and giving them an opportunity to make way for you.
Pardon is to be polite and apologies are for healing.
