Today I want to share my favorite sports play of all time.
The play is known as “The Beast-Quake” and is a running touchdown by the legendary running-back named Marshawn Lynch during his time with the Seattle Seahawks.
The play features over a half dozen broken tackles and ends up with 6 points.
The crowd became so excited during the play it actually “caused” a small earthquake. It was actually detected on a seismograph (instrument used to detect and measure earthquakes) ❕
Today I wanted to talk about a famous quote from William Shakespeare “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.”
What I gather from this quote is the following: You are the MAIN CHARACTER in YOUR STORY.
Everybody else matters but only if it is a part of your story.
The stranger on the other side of the world who will one day be historically significant that you will never meet is not as important as the stranger you walk by on the street that you may or may not say “hello” to.
In the world we have a certain amount of influence and this is where our days are won or lost.
Focus on what you can influence and incorporate only what parts are necessary for this to be true.
Want to help childhood hunger? THINK GLOBALLY and ACT LOCALLY.
Start with the community you live in or participate in most often and include those in your narrative that you interact with and consider the rest the set or background or “extras” (people included in a scene to give the context a sense of being “real”.
I write this blog using a template I created to give it a structured look and to save time with the things I always want to say.
Early versions of this template included copying the code from a previous post and pasting them into the mode used for coding.
HTML
Here is what the code looked like below. You will notice what you see and what the code was for that to appear
HTML FROM TODAYS POST
There are many popular computer languages. I am learning HTML and PYTHON.
There are many apps that teach various languages but you will probably be learning this in school if not already (computer coding).
By the way, CHESS has its own language too.
There are terms and names and strategies that have their own name that are from chess but there is a language used for record keeping (every move made in a game) called notation or officially Algebraic Notation.
The letters and numbers represent the square and piece used in each move. This can be used for later study and review after the game or allow another to “watch” your game

Well not poop exactly but needing to use the restroom.
Sometimes we need to use the restroom but there is not one available. When this is true we have to “hold it”.
But when we “hold it” yet there is a restroom available, always use the restroom instead of holding it for no reason (or if the reason is you do not feel like it).
Most of the time this is not an issue but sometimes we might be having so much fun we would rather wait until later
Just go to the restroom and get back to having fun so you do not have any negative health issues or develop health issues due to holding in something that didn’t need to be.
We have the ability to change our minds but who is changing it? Whether you were influenced or this change was independent (only because of you) the choice was yours to make the change.
It may be an opinion or a belief but whatever it was it may change again in the future.
Ever since you started to accept or form your own beliefs and opinions that will dictate your future behavior, actions and decisions the mind behind it all was your mind.
Over time although you will change many things, your mind or the actual “you” (not your name or reputation but how you see yourself in the present moment) will continue to evolve.
Imagine that the evolution of your mind only represents progress from your start until your finish.
There may be periods where it seems like it has reached a plateau or gone backwards but thats not true.
It only can go forward and sometimes so slowly it appears to not be progressing. But it is progressing and all the problems of the world and everybody in it slows you down more than you ever could.
Not to blame anyone or anything else for our setbacks but to not acknowledge the majority of our problems are not our fault is to accuse children of being guilty of any mistake they might make.
So if we start off with all these problems influencing us, it is amazing how we make any progress at all considering the uphill battle.
Today I wanted to talk about something we often see but will very rarely get to see from above… clouds.
Most humans who have ever existed never had the opportunity to see clouds from above. Unless you were on top of some mountains you only were able to see clouds from above after the airplane was invented.
I have seen clouds from above and it is a awesome sight to behold.
There are four forms that the different types of clouds fall in.
Cirro, Strato, Nimbo and Cumulo.
Cirro form is a latin word that means “curl of hair” and describes the way the cloud looks.
Cirrus Cloud
Cumulo form look like puffy balls of cotton
Cumulus Clouds
Strato form gets its name from the latin word for “layer”.
Stratus Cloud
Nimbo form gets its name from the latin word for “Rain” and is a combination of the other cloud forms.
Nimbus Cloud
All clouds are made up of water in various forms like water droplets and ice crystals.
Depending on the weather you will be able to notice the various forms of clouds and the wind will provide movement that will change the look of the sky throughout the day.
It is fun to look at clouds and try to see a resemblance to something like various animals.
Today I wanted to share with you something you are aware of yet might not do as often as you could.
Washing your hands is a good habit to get into even when you aren’t asked to do so.
I am sure you know that before meals and if you are preparing food to wash your hands but how about after meals and before bed?
You always have a certain amount of bacteria on your skin that has a beneficial effect similar to the bacteria that is in our gut that aids in digestion. This is called our “flora” or “microbiota”.
It is impossible to rid all bacteria from our skin and hair but cleaning the surface of our body gives less of an opportunity for anything microscopic from growing in strength by reproducing itself on our body.
Between our immune system and our “good” flora we can do what we can to prevent illness and infection by practicing good hygiene to include washing our hands.
When we sleep we will have the longest period of the day for anything that wasn’t washed or sanitized to have an uninterrupted opportunity to compromise our health.
When you wake up you are probably in need of using the restroom and even if you aren’t thirsty you should hydrate (drink water). Consider a morning shower or at least wash your hands and face to get stay ahead of anything that potentially is present without being obvious.
I will leave you with this. Imagine a constant battle on the surface of your skin between microscopic organisms with one side that wants you to be healthy and the other side that wants you sick. Do what you can as often as you think about it to prevent illness and promote health without having to worry that you haven’t done enough as long as you are doing something at all.
Today I want to share with you a scientific reference known as the PERIODIC TABLE.
The table as we know it today was established in the late 1800s and has had many versions and contributors over time dating back as far as 330 BCE m, over 2000 years.
This table reflects a better understanding of what was known thousands of years ago as the 4 primary elements, earth, water, air and fire.
It was a way for humans to have a representation of what the building blocks of life were made of and everything life includes that has a physical representation.
The earliest of humans discovered fire. Maybe a lightning strike, wild fire sparked by magnification or maybe the ability taught by some who held this knowledge 👽
Anybody who claims they know the origin of fire as a tool is only referencing ideas or beliefs because there is no way to know what was not recorded from our past.
Although we do not know for sure the “truth” from ancient times we can make agreements that represent the truth for the possibility of progress.
Just like language, science is a way of communicating to ourself and others and understanding the world by way of agreements made by those before us. You have a certain sound or symbol that represents something specific with the hope that another will recognize your message so that they understand you.
There is no truth in these symbols or sounds but they represent our truth. Once enough agreements have been made the possibility of progress by way of collaboration with continuity allows our species to evolve in a way that one never could in a lifetime.
Instead of having to reinvent anything useful we get to refine amd create new ways of improving our quality of life and the quality of life for out children and future generations.
It took thousands of years to get the periodic table and within that time it has been modified and added too but remains the reference when it comes to a “truth” of chemistry.
2000 years from now the Periodic Table may still be what is used and perhaps it wont but the essence in which it was created and is utilized today will be represented in the form of an agreement held to provide the base we continue to build upon as an evolving species.
I share this scientific chart as an example of human progress that includes thousands of years of effort yet ultimately is only a placeholder for a universal truth that may not ever be available but needs not be with agreements that allow understanding and continuity that provide generational progress.
Sometimes when we wake up we feel well rested (good) and other times, hopefully not often, we feel like we could use more sleep.
There are times when we wake up that our bed feels so comfortable that we do not want to get OUT of bed and we want to lay in it longer to start our day.
Other times we wake up and get out of bed and we feel like we want to get BACK in bed because we feel tired and not well rested.
As long as there is not something you need to do soon after waking up, it is ok and actually a good idea to listen to our body and stay or get back in bed.
Starting the morning slow is sometimes a great way to start your day and the time spent in bed creates a vibe that you can carry with you throughout the day. Slow start yet a comfortable start can easily lead to happy and moving with intent, ready for the day.
Starting the day not feeling rested makes the day both start with an undesirable vibe and eventually even if you found a way to create a more positive vibe (you can) you could feel low on energy. Low energy doesn’t allow you to focus and you can become irritable. When you are irritable or having difficulty focusing it is not as easy to enjoy your day the way you want.
Naps are beneficial to help renew your vibe and energy level if you have time. Just like a nap, going back to sleep after waking up without feeling well rested is a good way to restart feeling refreshed and will not disrupt your sleep cycle as much as a nap late in the day.
Recovery is essential to good health and a positive mental state. When your mental and physical health are both healthy you have a recipe for great vibes (mood).
