I love you all

I like writing in my journal and my intention which is not always fulfilled is for it to be a daily practiced.

I didn’t always do this but lately I have been taking extra time with my journal entries to “make them pretty”. It takes a little bit longer but I have more fun signing off looking at something that serves an original purpose but now includes an element of fun that allows me to be more consistent with my practice. First it was adding color to the journal entries then later illustrations, stickers and various mediums of art to create a layered artistic vibe that gave me opportunity to practice multiple disciplines at once.

There really is no such thing as a weekday or weekend, these are both concepts (even day is a concept that has multiple definitions). In my opinion we sometimes look forward to the weekend but if that is true we are looking at the rest of the week as something we look forward to less. Each day provides the potential to hold the same excitement of anticipation and gratuity of arrival in each moment you sift long enough for it to appear.

Today is beautiful.

I am working with a coach today to Daisy me in lifting weights t the gym 🏋️‍♀️

I am trying to increase strength and while doing this keep in mind that in order to be safe I need to take it slow and ask for help from those who have more knowledge and experience than I.

What are your favorite kind of shoes? Slippers, flip flops, tennis shoes, boots, rain boots? all the different types of shoes and our feet appreciate it. It’s also important to strengthen your feet by walking barefoot sometimes when safe. Also be aware a lot of shoes aren’t healthy to be worn for long periods of time because of the toe box being cramped as well as introducing something to your foot that requires you to manipulate your gate to be able to resemble your natural tendency.

Comfy is good unless it weakens you.

For a few years now I have been a fan of going to Hot Yoga on Sunday evenings, especially classes that are Yin oriented. It’s something to look forward to and has sort of a reset initiation for the next 7 days as an anchor outside my mind body and home environment. I see my community and the world. For some reason if I don’t have plans or the weather is inhospital and I don’t find myself going outside, yoga classes regardless the time of year will get me out and about.

Sometimes we have plans. Sometimes those plans are important. If you are ever wondering if you should follow through the answer is yes. But if you would rather be doing something else because it feels more important, say yes to what feels right.

An example:

I had an appointment for the dr recently that I was considering not going to and before I made up my mind they called me and rescheduled. I then missed that appointment. Today I made it up and after my appointment I never once thought about how I didn’t make the previous two, one on them and one on me, instead I didn’t let it bother me either time. One was out of my hands and the other too late to change once I realized thus, out of my hands. When I made up my appointment today I practiced patience and forgiveness, accountability and responsibility, commitment and closure.

All of the above was meant to happen on one day yet the single task was spread across weeks and provided so many things to be grateful for that my expectation of what the day was and could be is humbled by what a single task could can bring with respect to expectations vs experience.
